Center Medallion by Mary Ann Altendorf: I started with a block called "Floral Wreath" in the Contemporary Pieced - Flora library. I proceded to add lines to create more detail including another smaller star in the center. Then I just colored it in with the beautiful fabrics.

Border 1 by Pat Tribbey
Mary Ann your center is very pretty and I do hope I can do it justice!
I thought a border of appliqued flowers & leaves would add an airiness to the center.
I first tried the "Bouquet" applique from the Contemporary Applique/Flowers library, (made it into a motif for Layer 2) but it was too many flowers. So I modified that block and liked it better.

Border 2 by Pat Newport I thought the ribbon effect of the border I did tied in nicely with the lovely centre that Mary Ann did.

Deana took elements from the center
for the last border corners and added
the strips to frame it in.

I think this block is "Birds Nest"
I wanted a dramatic center that would allow for variation with the completion.
I tried different fabrics but felt this one was the best.

I wanted to radiate excitement from the compass, so I did it with soft curves on two sides and sharp angles on two sides. I also wanted to keep cool colors and warm colors separated.

I have make a Dutch tourist attraction. Now the crocusses and daffodils are flowering in the lanes and publics gardens
After all the tulips . So you can visit the bulbfields in Holland
The rest is for you , sukses!!! - Greetings Carien

Wow what a fun center! It made me think of pinwheels so I thought that would be appropriate to frame this then I took the one flower block and edited it to put in the corners. I also Liked making the border go from sky to ground. - Shelley

I liked the patchwork for the fields, so I added them to the boarder. I put houses in the corners to complement the houses in the main block. - Teri

Everyone else did such a lovely job! I tried to continue the idea of the pinwheels in the corners, and use the lovely flower fields block that Carien had in the center to frame the quilt. - Sara

I love spring colors, so I make my quilt with all of the colors in the gardens that are blooming right know.

Border 1 by Sara Woodward- I loved the circle in the sunflower block for some reason, so created two new blocks based on that circle for the first border. Teri chose wonderful colors. I pulled border colors straight out of the center of the quilt.

Center of My first Round Robin. Colors are purple green and a touch of blue. Block within a block design. A Spring Pinwheel! I've left lilacs fabric in my fabric list for a touch of spring.

I loved the colors shelley picked for the center of the block. Because it is a spring theme, I added flowers to the corners with accent colors to match the center block. (Teri)

Sara Woodward did the 2nd border.

Shelley , I find this block very nice , the colors are for Easter,Lila and violet. But have made the last border a little lighter . It is so dark for a Spring quilt.
Greetings Carien

I LOVE IT!Everybody's touch is awesome!

Wow! It's just amazing what everyone did with the center -- I love it! I never in a million years would have ended up with a design like this on my own. I did add a final border and a binding edge just to "contain" everything. -Donna

Reeze - Double Pickle Dish block, I chose the pickle dish to duplicate the points and curves of the New York Beauty and added a few additional red violets to the fabric palette.

Randy- I chose flying geese for the next border. I rotated them to make it look like crowns (beauty queen)
