your computer lacks Windows files from Microsoft that are needed for the program to run properly, which cannot be installed on your operating system
I don’t have Windows XP or Vista, will EQ6 work on my computer?
No, EQ6 only runs on Windows XP and newer operating systems.
Will EQ6 run on my Mac?
EQ6 is a PC program. To run on a Mac, the Mac must be able to run PC programs, and would have to have Windows emulation software, such as Virtual PC (XP version) installed. Or have Parallels software installed. VMWare Fusion is not recommended due to unresolvable support issues some of our customers have experienced. We do not have Mac computers here, and cannot tech support them.
EQ6 was reviewed in the June 2008 MacWorld as a “reason to install Windows on a Mac.” Are you interested in running your EQ on a Mac? Then you may want to subscribe to the free EQonMacs Yahoo group, run by Sheila Williams. This group tech supports itself and welcomes new or potential users with questions.
I don’t have internet access; will I be able to install EQ6?
No. We’re sorry, but internet access is necessary. Once the program is installed and activated,
internet access is no longer required.
I just bought a Net-book (mini laptop), can I install EQ6?
Most likely not. Netbooks do not have CD or DVD-ROM drives. Most only go up to 1024x600 screen resolution, which is less than the required resolution. If you moved the installation files to a thumb drive, you could get around the CD/DVD-ROM issue. If you were able to download a driver from the netbook manufacturer that increased the resolution or were able to hook up an external monitor, then you might be able to get around the resolution issue.
