What about copyright?
The block patterns and the quilt designs in Sue Spargo Folk-Art Dreams are
copyrighted by Sue Spargo. They are intended for your personal
use.
If you intend any commercial use of these patterns, you must contact Sue for
permission.
The Electric Quilt Company holds copyright to the software itself, which means
you violate copyright restrictions if you lend or copy the software.
I'm having trouble setting blocks in the 10 inch Blocks 3 layout.
Please download and replace the file with this new copy.
- Click here
to download the file. Try to save it somewhere you can find it again (like on your Desktop).
- Wait for the download to finish.
- Right-click the file you downloaded and left-click Cut in the menu.
- Click START > My Computer.
- Go to C drive > Program Files > Electric Quilt Company > Sue Spargo > PJ5 > prj7
- Right-click in an empty white space and left-click Paste (or choose EDIT > Paste from the menu).
- Choose "Yes" or "Move and Replace" when asked if you want to overwrite the current file.
- Close this window and try your "10 inch Blocks 3" project from the Blank
Wall Quilts category.
How do I link this software with EQ6?
The software should link automatically when you install it. If not, try these steps.
To link the Sue Spargo Folk-Art Dreams Blocks:
- In EQ6, click LIBRARIES > Block Library.
- Click the Link Library button and click Auto Add.
- If Sue Spargo Folk-Art Dreams is not added automatically,
continue on with the following steps:
- Click the Add button and type: Sue Spargo Folk-Art Dreams Blocks.
- Click the Browse button. Go to:
C drive > Program Files > Electric Quilt Company > Sue Spargo > Lib
- Be sure to click on the Lib folder.
- Click OK, OK.
- Click Close to return to the library.
To link the Sue Spargo Folk-Art Dreams Fabrics:
- In EQ6, click LIBRARIES > Fabric Library.
- Click the Link Library button and click Auto Add.
- If Sue Spargo Folk-Art Dreams is not added automatically,
continue on with the following steps:
- Click the Add button and type: Sue Spargo Folk-Art Dreams Fabrics.
- Click the Browse button. Go to:
C drive > Program Files > Electric Quilt Company > Sue Spargo > Lib
- Be sure to click on the Lib folder.
- Click OK, OK.
- Click Close to return to the library.
How do I link this software with EQ5?
The software should link automatically when you install it. If not, try
these steps.
- Click File.
- Click Preferences
- Click the Directories tab.
- Click the Add button.
- In the box for 1) Type Sue Spargo Blocks. Set it to Blocks
in the dropdown menu for 2).

- Click OK. Sue Spargo Blocks will now appear in the list.
It will have a red Not Found in the front of it.
- Click on the Sue Spargo Blocks in the list to select it.
- Click the Modify button.
- Navigate to find the Lib folder inside the Sue
Spargo folder. The default location for this product is: C:\Program Files\Electric
Quilt Company\Sue Spargo\Lib\
- Be sure to click on the Lib folder.
- Click OK. The icon in front of Sue Spargo Blocks should
change from a red Not Found to a green OK.
Now open the EQ5 Block Library. You'll find Sue Spargo Blocks in the list.

To link to the fabric libraries, do this in place of step 5 above:
- In the box for 1) Type Sue Spargo Blocks. Set it to Fabrics
in the dropdown menu for 2)
All other steps are the same.
Can I open the projects in EQ5 or EQ6?
If you have Electric Quilt 5 or 6 software on your computer, you can open any
of the Sue Spargo projects and use the features of EQ5 or 6 to
re-design the quilts.
The project files are found inside the Sue Spargo folder. The default
location for the files is C: Program Files\Electric Quilt Company\Sue Spargo\PJ5\.
The projects are divided into 8 folders as follows:

The file extension for the Sue Spargo projects is WZ4.
Since EQ does not recognize this file extension, you need to type the complete
name including the period and the three-letter file extension.

After you have opened the project in EQ, click Save.

Navigate to the new folder where you want to save your project. You can keep the name for the quilt or give it a new name. Click Save.
