Electric Quilt Classes
Instructor: Nancy Mahoney
Palm Coast, Florida 32164
www.nancymahoney.com

Nancy designs all of her quilts using this versatile and user-friendly software program. A laptop and projector are used for both lectures and workshops so everyone can see and follow along. For lectures; your guild or larger group will see how to develop an idea into a stunning quilt. The audience will participate in designing the final quilt. In class, students will gain confidence in designing quilts in a fun and informative setting. Laptop computers for each student are encouraged, but not mandatory.
Lecture - 1 1/2 hours
Workshop - 1/2 day, 1 day or 2 day

Barb Gardner
www.GardnersDelights.com
email: GardnersDelights@comcast.net
(303) 926-1512
Barb does guild lectures and classes, using both EQ5 & EQ6.
For lectures
, she has a laptop and projector so can show your guild or larger group how an idea can be developed into patterns and a quilt. The audience gets to participate in the designing & changing. For those not interested in computer design, she will bring a fantastic trunk show. Programs usually run 45-90 minutes.
For classes
, members will be given a tour of both programs. Those who own the program will go home with the confidence to start working with it. Those who don't own it will have a change to see if it fits their designing style. Again, the projector is used so everyone can see well and the trunk show, handouts and sample projects gives inspirations. Those who have the program on a laptop can bring it to work on. Classes usually run 3-6 hours.
All programs can be tailored to the specific needs of your group and travel expenses could be shared among several groups. Barb also has a pattern line and teaches classes from them. See the web site for photos.

Barb lives north of Denver Colorado but is willing to travel.

I am an experienced tutor in P&Q, Crafts and Computers/IT and my classes are designed to enable everyone to learn at their own pace from complete beginners to the more experienced. There are one to one sessions as well as group workshops with a limit of 4 people to ensure everyone has the attention they need to learn in a relaxed atmosphere. We meet regularly during the EQ6 addicts club where each participant works on their own projects with support from myself and each other, we are also intending to have group challanges. The project based workshops start with designing a quilt based on a particular technique or theme before moving on to actually sewing the project itself, in other words the complete package! The sessions are all held in my Beach home studio/workshop based here in New Zealand overlooking the amazing Kapiti coast, a wonderful inspiration!
