INTERVIEW WITH SUE SPARGO
Sue Spargo is one of the most talented quilt designers in the world. She has a devoted following, and we count ourselves among that group. Later this month her elegantly charming designs will be available in stand-alone software: Sue Spargo: Folk-Art Dreams. (You do not need EQ5 or EQ6 to use Folk Art Dreams, but it is compatible with either program.)

Read our interview with Sue here. Then download a free "preview" project (for EQ5 or EQ6) we made with some of Sue's delightful blocks.

A PHOTO-FABRIC PURSE TO SEW FOR CHRISTMAS

Looking for a quick holiday project to sew and wrap now? EQ staffer, Andrea Bishop, created a simple yet personal purse made with tiny photo squares. You need printable fabric (try our EQ Printables brand), and photos to print. Your unique "I spy" photo purse could picture your dog's eyes, details from your garden, or anything! Print our PDF pattern for instructions on making this printable purse.

DOWNLOAD MORE FREE FABRIC
This month's download is "Marbelling". Choose either to download a Library file or a Project file. Be sure to follow the easy steps provided. Then vote for next month's fabric.

MYSTERY QUILT STORY AND LESSONS
Our Mitzi McDrubbin mystery quilt continues. Read Episode 8, and discover why Mitzi interviews for a job at posh magazine company Contra Nash Inc. Is it to meet Rita Rowland, the seventh of eleven suspects on the Trade Winds Museum Board? Then do Lesson 8, in which you draw an American Homes block. Learn to use EQ5 or EQ6 as you solve the mystery and see your final quilt after the 12th episode.

(If you are just joining us, start here with Episode 1 and Lesson 1.)
