ASK EQ THE MOUSE!
Our loyal and long-time mascot, EQ the Mouse, is back! He invites
you to submit EQ questions for his new column "Ask
EQ." Email
questions to Tech Support. Put "Ask EQ" in
the subject line. He'll answer your question, and perhaps
you'll make his Q & A
column. Read it here.
FREE
DRAWING LESSON
Try before you buy! Here's a free
lesson (PDF) from our new book on drawing—a book that will
get you drawing your own appliqué and quilting stencils,
importing photos and tracing, and creating new blocks from
those already in EQ6 for borders, sashes and your whole quilt.
The book is Angie Padilla's EQ6 Appliqué Drawing:
A Beginner's Guide to Drawing Like a Pro—coming
next month. It's perfect for quilt projects to fuse as well
as more elaborate appliqué. Read
our earlier interview with Angie here.
MORE FROM ANGIE PADILLA
Looking for a fun project to design in EQ? Try
Angie's Blocks in a Box quilt -- easy to draw, fun to color.
Use her PDF for the pattern or print from EQ.
Wondering
what to do with fabric scraps? See how Angie sorts scraps
by size, then uses them to create fabric collage, heart-shaped
yo yos, and even beads.
SHOW US WHAT YOU MAKE
Kate McComas sent us a link to her "Wild
Flower Baby Quilt" shown on her blog. She's using
spring wildflower photos she printed on EQ's
Cotton Lawn Inkjet Fabric Sheets.
Kate writes: "The photo transfer images include skunk
cabbages, spring beauties, wild iris, toad trillium, red trillium
and two images of luna moths. All the photo transfers were
done with Electric Quilt cotton lawn photo transfer cloth.
I have experimented with many types of transfer media and I
have found this to be the most colorfast."
We love her quilt. Show us what you make!
CONGRATULATIONS
