LEARN TO DRAW!
Think you can't draw? Yes you can! Learn to turn one simple curve into a feathered quilting stencil. Design Hawaiian appliqué. Trace photos. Draw vines and leaves the easy way. No prior drawing experience required! Angie Padilla's new book EQ6 Appliqué Drawing: A Beginner's Guide to Drawing Like a Pro demystifies drawing by breaking it down into a simple series of steps.

INTERVIEW WITH QUILTERS NEWSLETTER EDITOR, JAN MAGEE
Ever wondered how America’s favorite quilting magazine gets put together? We did. So we asked Quilters Newsletter Executive Editor, Jan Magee to take us behind the scenes. Read our interview with Jan.

See our newest quilt design CD: The Best of Quilters Newsletter, now hot off the press! Watch a demo video of this new quilt design software.

(Speaking of QN, congratulations to EQ designer Marjorie Rhine whose “Prairie Flowers” quilt is featured in the June 2008 issue of QN on page 74 – 77.)

ASK EQ THE MOUSE!
Our loyal and long-time mascot, invites you to submit EQ questions for his regular column "Ask EQ." Email questions to Tech Support. Put "Ask EQ" in the subject line. He'll answer your question, and perhaps you'll make his Q & A column. Read it here.

STASHtimation CONTEST
Your chance to win a new STASH. Celebrate the May release of the EIGHTEENTH edition of STASH, and our hard-working staff who have scanned their hearts out month after month to produce this CD packed with fabric. Their motto: "We scan, so you don't have to!"

CONTEST: Guess how many fabrics, total, we've scanned for STASH (from Fall 1999 through Spring 2008). The eighteen people who guess closest (but not over) will win a free copy of STASH Spring 2008 (retail value: $24.95).

To submit your answer, send an email before June 1, 2008:

To: eqnews@electricquilt.com

Subject: ##### (only put the number of fabrics you guess)

Message: Name, Mailing Address, Phone, and number of fabrics again.

Enter as many times as you like. Eighteen different winners will be chosen from the closest answers.

1/4 OF THE EQ STAFF ARE PREGNANT!

Is it our water? Three staff members are pregnant with four babies on the way: Sara Woodward (left - due in October), Sara Seuberling (middle - due in July) and Heidi Kory (right - due this week). Who's having twins? Sara Seuberling is expecting a boy and a girl!

To celebrate, download a free project of "kid print" fabric from our brand new STASH Spring 2008 CD, hot off the press. Download the EQ5 project or EQ6 project (fabric only).
