EQ the ("he's so vain") Mouse has hidden his picture throughout the EQ Web site. How many can you find? See our contest rules and prize list including EQ the Mouse pins, books and EQ products. Contest ends August 31, 2008. Everyone who enters will receive a free EQ project.

 

STASHtimation CONTEST WINNERS ANNOUNCED
Congratulations to the winners of last month’s STASHtimation contest who each won STASH Spring 2008 for coming closest to guessing the total number of fabrics in all 18 editions of our STASH product. Thanks to all of you nearly 1000 entrants! The correct answer for how many fabrics have been scanned since 1999 for Stash Editions 1 through 18 is: 91,563.

SIGN UP FOR FALL EQ6 AND DIGITAL CLASSES IN HOUSTON
July is the time to sign up for EQ classes with Fran Gonzalez, Barb Vlack, Katrina Hamer or Mary Ellen Kranz -- taught during the International Quilt Festival in Houston, Texas from October 27 – November 2, 2008. Check out these great classes. Registration is done by Quilts, Inc. (www.quilts.com) On the Quilts Inc. site, click the side link beneath "Quilt Festival" for "Order the class catalogue."

Want to see a self-running show of your own EQ projects? Download a free project viewer:

Download "EQ6 Show" if you have EQ6. It will show any EQ3, EQ4, EQ5 and EQ6 projects you've made.

Download "EQ5 Show" if you only have EQ5. It will show any EQ3, EQ4 & EQ5 projects you have made.

 

EQ FORUMS
The new EQ Forums are up! Visit the EQ Forums and register, then you can ask questions and get answers from EQ staff, authors and other EQ users right on the EQ web site.

 

CLUB EQ REMINDER
ClubEQ is a free monthly challenge organized by EQ-author, Barb Vlack. To participate, send in a project (EQ5 or EQ6) with 1-2 quilts to penny@electricquilt.com that follow the challenge theme and ClubEQ rules. Imagine getting 50 to 100 quilts for just submitting one.

Remember, entries for the current "Quilt Label" challenge are due June 30, 2008.

The challenge for July is on Nursery Rhymes, so don't forget to send in your project by July 31, 2008 for that.

 

DOWNLOAD MORE FREE FABRIC
This month's download is "Laurel Burch" fabrics. Choose either to download a Library file or a Project file. Be sure to follow the easy steps provided. Then vote for next month's fabric.

 

 

FRESH WAYS WITH PHOTOS
Want to become a fabric designer? Pick up your digital camera, a package of printable fabric and get snapping and printing. Look how staff-member, Margaret used flower and fern photos from the EQ Photo Library. Imagine what fabric you could create. Then read Joe Hesch’s tips on making your image last.

We loved Carolyn Laukkonen's project from last month's ClubEQ challenge "THREE" so much we asked if she'd share it with you. It's for a wall-hanging, but you can make it larger. Download the 3 Kittens EQ6 Project. Carolyn is the wonderful artist who offers you a free desktop calendar for your computer desktop each month (See below).
