About the Author

Angie PadillaAngie Padilla was born in the USA and raised in Quito, Ecuador. A self-taught quilter, Angie’s initial interest in sewing actually lay in garment making. Quilting slowly started to take over and eventually evolved into a passion. Angie’s parallel love of computers and Internet technology naturally led to the creation of a website which continued to grow over the years and which today showcases her quilt patterns: Angie also created the My Dream House CD, won the EQ Anniversary contest, and placed second in the Single Maker category for the Do You EQ? Contest.

  1. Barb Gorges

“The Pieced Drawing book is great and the Appliqué Drawing book is exceptional. I’ll be recommending both in classes.

The Appliqué book is probably the best EQ book I have used so far because it mentions every little box that will show, every time. Starting from page one, that can be repetitious, but that’s how some of us learn best. Yet, each section is fairly independent if you think you already know what you want to do.”

  2. Sandy Shuttleworth

“This is one book I’ll finish all the lessons in. The wording is so, that I can understand, not like most computer books. The lessons are enjoyable, even if I can’t draw very well, maybe with practice it will improve. Just had to let you know, I really like EQ, have learned a lot of how to move around to perform the different functions with this book. If I get much better, maybe I will be able to let your readers see one of my quilts.”

“This fourth companion book from The Electric Quilt Company is targeted at those who want to get the absolute most from this appliqué portion of EQ6 quilt design software. It brims with tips and shortcuts which when applied will truly open up the programme to its full potential. Follow the lessons from cover to cover and the book is a comprehensive, graduated series of lessons. Dip into it but by bit and it serves as a detailed reference of appliqué drawing tips. Following the lessons in this book will help EQ6 owners get more pleasure out of the software and to create a wider breadth of designs with ease.”
