Electric Quilt software is a complete quilt-design software application for Windows and Mac computers. As the flagship product of the company, it was first developed in 1990 and has continued to be successful for over 30 years. The software is the main design solution for thousands of professional and everyday quilters around the world.

At the Electric Quilt Company, our team of 3 software developers is working to develop a software application based on customer-requested features. We are looking for a software developer to help us complete this project and continue the success of this software through upgrades and updates going forward. This is a full-time position in Bowling Green, OH. This could be a partial remote position after a period of time.

Objectives of this role

  • Complete the development of projects based on detailed parameters and mockups
  • Support development by applying agile methodologies for sprint planning, design sessions, development, testing, and deployment
  • Design, develop, test, and enhance software solutions

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, test, and delivery
  • Develop software applications using C# and .NET technologies
  • Facilitate design and architecture brainstorms
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Collaborate with team members to define and implement solutions

Required skills and qualifications

  • Bachelors in Computer Science (or related) degree
  • Three to five years of experience in software development
  • Experience developing customer-facing software applications
  • Deep knowledge and experience with the C# programming language
  • Experience using GIT for development and version control

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Knowledge or experience with .NET Maui for Windows and Mac, WPF, and SQL
  • Proficiency with tools like UML and Visual Studio 2022
  • Familiarity with agile project development apps, such as Jira

Other details

  • No quilting experience necessary
  • Full-time, 40 hours/week (Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm)
