Hands-On EQ Classes January 2013 at Road to California
Linda Matteoti will teach two 2-day workshops offering hands-on EQ training.
A: The first workshop focuses on foundation (paper) piecing and the second on machine applique. There are lots of different skills involved in the two techniques, both in using EQ7 and in the actual sewing. The classes are exciting for me and for the students because they experience the entire process. The students learn to manipulate the EQ7 software, then scan their fabrics and each student builds a quilt in EQ7 using her/his own fabric. By the end of the first day students will be printing their foundation patterns or applique patterns for use in the actual sewing process. The second class day students will learn the sewing techniques involved in foundation piecing or applique, and bring their projects to life in fabric. Laptop computers are necessary, but sewing machines will be provided in the classroom.
Sounds like the perfect fun Christmas gift for any new EQ user!
