What a fun add-on to EQ8! It was easy to install and within just a few minutes I was browsing through this huge new catalog of blocks. There are so many I want to try! I found a more complex block that I liked, brought it in to the Block Worktable and edited it to make it unique and a bit simpler. I love that I can resize the blocks and then print the foundation papers for that size.
I am new to paper piecing and was really excited to try this add on to EQ8! There are so many different blocks to try and I really like how you have the option of either square corners or star corners for each block. Using EQ8 is great, because it is so easy to customize the block size. I made my first block 12″ so that I can turn it into a hot pad for my kitchen! Installation was very straight forward and it took only minutes for me to be playing around with this new collection of blocks. I can’t wait to try some of the more complex blocks in here! I’m so excited to have these quilt blocks in my quilty toolbox!
I love using the EQ8 software, and this add-on made it even better. After refreshing my paper piecing skills, I was able to make a colorful, somewhat complicated block with no issues. Having two similar blocks in each style will be great for designing. There are so many options so it took me a while to choose just one to start with. I’m excited to try more!
Fabulous new addition to the Electric Quilt Library. I love that so many of the blocks have two corner options, so that you can get interesting designs when you make a quilt with the blocks. Some of them are so complicated but made easy by the piecing options – traditional hand pieced or paper pieced will work well most of these blocks. I love some of the seasonal blocks and can’t wait to try them! They will be perfect for a new quilty item in the house or as a gift for a friend.
This is a fun add-on, enabling me to make the most complicated looking block I’ve ever seen with ease! Each point matched up as I assembled. It’s such a stunning finish. I also recommend the EQ Newsprint with these blocks. I love that it has a seal on the package so I don’t have to juggle the loose sheets. I’m excited to make more blocks with even smaller details! This Kaleidoscope Collection Two add-on product and the newsprint were sent to me through a paid affiliate promotion.
Complex blocks are a breeze with Kaleidoscope Collection Two. This was my first attempt with this style of paper pieced block with so many converging seams. The program made it easy to group and number the foundation piecing templates. If you are not a fan of paper piecing, you can also print out templates, or rotary cutting instructions. The block came together just as I envisioned, and sewed quickly with nice sharp points. I know I can dream up some fantastic projects with this add-on.
Electric Quilt knocked it out of the park again. I love that their Kaleidoscope 2 collection has a bunch of different styles, and that you have options for all of them. You can paper-piece, use templates, or even do English paper piecing! My favorite thing is that it tells me how much fabric I need and lets me switch it up as much as I want. I’ve already made a table topper, and I have a few more waiting for me! This is fun
Thank You Laura
I recently tried out the Kaleidoscope Two add-on for EQ8, and I’m really impressed! The installation was a breeze, and while I did have a bit of trial and error figuring out the printing settings, once I got them right, the templates were flawless. They printed perfectly and were super easy to use. I loved how straightforward it was to follow the foundation paper piecing instructions, making the quilt blocks come together beautifully. If you’re a fan of paper piecing, this add-on is a must-try!
Loved all the designs and the incredible variety. Many different difficulty and complexity levels, plus various themes and styles. I loved it all and can’t wait to make more blocks!
This is a great Add-On! First, the install was seamless; the blocks magically appeared in my library with no having to hunt them down. The 500 designs were all so unique, too, which means endless possibilities. I’m excited to have already designed a table runner using two of the blocks!
