Want to be inspired and take your quilt design to a new level? Do you look at the quilts on the EQ Monthly Challenge pages and wish you could do that? Then this book is for you!
“EQ With Me: Quilt Design” is a lovely spiral bound workbook that easily sits next to your keyboard as you’re working your way through it. The instructions are easy to follow with lots of great step by step photos.
The book walks you through nine full project lessons each demonstrating a different layout technique. The lessons cover a variety of border techniques and lots of fun tips and tricks along the way. The end of each chapter contains additional ideas to inspire your creativity. The last chapter of the book is devoted to even more tips and tricks not covered in the lessons.
This beautiful book is a MUST HAVE for any EQ user’s library.
Even as an experienced EQ7 user, I was delighted to find new tips and tricks in “EQ with me: Quilt Design” I had not discovered yet. As soon as I received the book I sat down and worked quickly through the first chapter. I loved the idea of tweaking traditional pieced blocks for a more modern interpretation. As applique is my first love, I saw immediately how I could take this concept further, and translate these pieced blocks into applique designs. Not only did I enjoy working through the lesson, I actually took things further and sewed the quilt top over the next couple of days! With ten step-by-step lessons that can easily be covered in half an hour, I am sure I will be able to work through the whole book in less than a month. The step-by-step, illustrated lessons are very easy to follow, and the large page format and spiral binding make it so practical to use, as I can lay the book open next to the computer while I work. What is there not to love?
Love the new book! It answers many of the questions that I have not had the time or patience to ferret out of the manual that came with the program…love that it is spiral bound and the battery (LOL) never wears down!!!
This book is great, love doing the lessons and still learning more everyday about my EQ7, love it, love it.
