A whole year of blocks and quilts!

This add-on for EQ8 gives you 40 pieced blocks and 24 unique quilts by Heather Valentine. From wall hangings to placemats, these designs will have you covered for all your seasonal projects! Love one of the fall quilts, but wish it featured winter blocks? Just swap out the acorns and pumpkins for snowmen and pine trees then recolor with fabrics you love! Each quilt can be easily modified for a different season so the 24 quilts become 96 quilts in a snap!

Blocks for every occasion

A new block library will automatically link to your EQ8 software. The library includes 40 pieced blocks (10 for each season) all designed to be sewn at 6″ or 12″. Use the blocks together or combine them with your favorites from the EQ Block Library! Print rotary cutting charts, templates, or foundation paper piecing patterns to sew up the blocks right away or set them into your own quilt designs!

Quilts for every season

New projects install into your My EQ8 folder, making it easy to open them in EQ8 software quickly. Sew them up as is, or set different blocks into the layouts and play with color! Print rotary cutting charts, templates, or foundation paper piecing patterns to sew up a project right away or swap out blocks, borders, or fabrics to make it your own! Each quilt project uses the blocks at 6″ or 12″ as the designer intended.

Find the quilts by clicking Open an existing project on the EQ8 Home Screen. Choose a project, click OK, then browse through the Sketchbook to see the blocks and quilts.

About the designer

Heather Valentine, is the voice behind The Sewing Loft and Inspiring Stitches. Armed with a degree from New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology, Heather spent the next 20 years working hand in hand with factories around the world. She developed new products, achieved the perfect fit and produced quality garments found in your closet today. Craving more artistic freedom, Heather stepped away from the garment industry to create The Sewing Loft, an online sewing community filled with enthusiasts of every skill level, from small-business owner to the occasional stitcher. Her main goal is to promote awareness, provide education and, above all, encourage the community to move the needle forward. These days, you can find Heather teaching at local shops, speaking at guilds and sharing her  talent in online video classes. Her whimsical designs have graced the pages of many printed publications, including Fat Quarter Projects, Fun-Size Quilts, Stitching Kitchen, and Crafts ‘n Things. They can also be found in stores near you with the Simplicity Creative Group. Each year she hosts a sewing retreat called Sew Scrappy. The 3-day event is a wonderful way to connect with like-minded stitchers who share your passion, learn something new and be inspired to stitch through your scraps. This self-proclaimed fabric hoarder likes to stitch the night away and dreams of one day discovering a better way to detangle her thread collection.

Note:
The blocks are installed to the EQ8 Block Library and the project files are in your My EQ8 folder on your computer. Use EQ software to print the templates, rotary-cutting charts, or foundation paper piecing patterns at any size you want. Note: The designer intended for blocks to be sewn at 6" or 12".
