Mickey Depre

Mickey Depre was introduced to the world of Fiber Arts by her own personal “grand masters” at the age of four. Grandmothers, Great Aunts, Aunts and her mother filled her days with cloth, needles, yarn and such. In 1997 she found quilting on her own.

She has been recognized with many awards, publications, and her first book Garden Whimsy covered her style of machine appliqué.

She made a name for herself as an art quilter with a flair for the whimsical. But always made traditional quilts for family to enjoy and keep warm under.

English Paper Piecing has become a slight obsession and the lead to the publication of her newest book Pieced Hexies. Now it is her goal to be known for her spin on traditional quilting via English Paper Piecing. Her designs are simply “not your Grandmother’s Flower Garden”.
